Review, party, and stuff.
Nov. 1st, 2003 10:11 amReview sucked. Out of 10 facets of it, I got 3 goods, 6 needs improvements, and 1 poor. My boss said I did good (he stopped by the party last night- one of the side effects of having your boyfriend's best friend as your boss. I feel like total crap though. I feel like I've been doing the best I can under the circumstances of the move and other things like that. I tried my best to keep my cool, though I did break out into tears when I read it. I dont' really care that much anyway... as soon as I can find a secretarial job, i think I'll leave. I dunno though.. we'll see how things go in the next 30 days until my next review. If things don't improve by then, or if my therapist says I need to move into a different position when I see her next week, I'll probably move that much faster into a new job.
The party... well it was a success. Everyone had a great time, and was actually rather fun. I think it was a good thing none of the people from Virginia showed up, because I don't think the mix of people would have worked well, save for a few people I know who could survive in any situation. However, noone drank a lot so we have like 20 40oz bottles of Corona, red wine (which I'm going to give Daddy one bottle of), scotch, whiskey, Guiness, etc. So we'll probably start having movie nights where people can come see movies and drink! Unless someone wants to just come by and take some of this stuff :P
Today I'm going to go to Fells point to show my work to a gallery owner there. She wants more Black and White stuff, and so I'm going to show her some stuff, see what she wants, and then get the stuff I need to make them, or just give her the prints I have. It should be pretty interesting to hear a gallery owner's perspective on my work. hopefully she'll take some :) and I think I might go to the cool pet shop on Thames Street too... They have catnip bubbles for cats, and other cool things. And since sally is playing with Marmalades' toys, I need to do soemthing.
Tonight I'm taking Puppy to Rocky Horror live, and to meet Mommy and Daddy. I'll be so happy to get hugs from them.. Ireally have missed seeing them. I guess its one of the sacrifices for moving to the big city. I really do love it here. Last night we had tons of trick or treaters, almost all the neighbors were handing out candy and having a great time. I like walking to places, then taking the seaport taxi over to the "georgetown equivalent" we have here- Fells Point. And there's so much to photograph here- much more than DC ever had...but that's because DC's been done so many times, its getting old, ya know? I dunno.. I just feel like I could stick around here for awhile. We'll see.
Okay, off to practice my whistles, and then shopping for a Stationary Tub for my darkroom. :)
Also- Tomorrow in Fells Point is the Sunday Art Series. tomorrow They're having Blacksmiths actually doing their work...and I've seen some of it and its gorgeous. Come check it out.. it's gonna be a good day for it.
