Fall is definately in the air now. I'm starting to do my cleaning, gathering, snuggling, sewing, and cooking. My black leather jacket is my close companion, and I'm starting to feel that chill in the air that leads to wanting snow and hot chocolate and skiing, sledding, and the like. The mountains are beckoning to me for a pilgrimage to them, to feel the last energies of the earth spilling forth before hibernating into winter. Next week begins the holiday seasons, which as a shock to some people this may be, its a definate truth. Halloween/Samhain, followed by Thanksgiving only a few weeks later. Then, a month almost to the day after that, we're looking dead in the eye of Yule/Christmas and New Years.
I feel strangely settled this year. I don't feel as frenzied as in years past, or even in considering what I have coming myself in the next few months. I am excited, but content. And its a good feeling.
