Conrad didn't show up- something about his family not wanting him from home on Christmas Day. My sister went there after dinner. She didn't open the present I gave her. No big suprise there.

Dinner as always, was wonderful. Tons of food so noone went away hungry.

And from Santa? What did Mea come home with???

A new camera bag- Lowepro Rover AW II
2 Porcelain Dolls (plus 5 mini dolls)
Jars of Clay- Much Afraid album
Robbie Williams: Live at the Albert Hall DVD
The New Tom Clancy Novel*
coloring books
crayons
candy
hair things
socks
bedroom slippers
a 50mm lens for my 35mm camera
a Sark Book
a book on Crocheted Afghans
a metonome

*(Note: I was expecting the New/Last Cussler novel, and upon opening this, I was a little.. less excited than with my other gifts. L likes it though, and so I'll be using hte Wal-Mart card bossman and his hunny gave us for that and the Master and Commander Soundtrack.)

All in all a good haul.

While I was home, I went to visit my remaining grandfather, who lives below my folks. Recently, his wife has gone into a nursing home (of her own volition..she's a bitch), and my one aunt has moved in with him becuase my uncle kicked her out of his house (they're brother and sister, not hubby and wife....long story). Anyway, he just seemed so distant and out of it....it was eerie to be there. Mom says she's afraid its not goign to be much longer, and I can see why. he just seems...broken I guess. My aunt is trying to be normal hile livin there, but I'm sure he probably feels like his space is a little invaded and stuff. I dunno. Maybe I'm just talking out of my tushie. But it was very wierd... I didn't stay long, which I feel bad about, but in that same vein I didn't want to keep talking to a space cadet.

Anyway, was a decent Christmas. I think even L and his mom enjoyed themselves. Next stop, new years.

Does anyone have Jeanette's phone number or email addy? I need to get int touch with her.
Best Soundtrack ever. :P well not really but its very good. It works well in the movie, but listening to the soundtrack it is fairly simple, besides the sections that were classical duets of violin/cello.
Oh and I may get to go up into the Fighting tops tomorrow!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYY~~!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to figure out if anyone is interested in my forming an LJ community about Tall ships- called appropriately "tall ship geeks" Mostly about sailing, and the local tall ships coming in and out of different towns, reviews of movies with tall ships, etc? Anyone up for joining that if I did it?
