Happy Holidays
Dec. 25th, 2002 10:22 amSo the church thing ended up being maybe 10 minutes of being in church. I got bent out of shape at the welcome (lets all celebrate this "christian" holiday, while looking over at me snidely), and singing in the choir which sorely needed the help. Feeling like I was going to lambast the choir director because she can't count in three, she can only count in 2, which meant all the notes got cut off, screwing up the pianist. Then feeling a crash come on as I read a passage from Prozac Nation . Yeah.. I'm never doing that again.
Fortunately my mom realized somethin was wrong, and was bent out of shape herself because of the snow comin down, and we left. Being home and having dinner and playing with the critters and opening presents was eversomuch better. Got hello kitty playsets and a stuffed aminal from my sis, a music box from my dad (a suprise gift!) and my orcelain doll, a beautiful redhead with crocheted clothing. Absolutely gorgeous. Then we watched O brother, where art thou and I fell asleep.
Woke up at 6:30 with the sis, and we decided to make breakfast to save mom time so we could get to hte presents sooner. I forgot that bacon doesn't go on high.. woke mom up with the smoke. I'm not cooking bacon again.
Opened presents soon after, and what a haul! My mp3 player and the money to get hte remote unit (just freshly ordered woohoo!!), a hello kitty cd player, 2 beatles cds, clothes, and lots of cutsie stuff my mom likes to throw in. And candy. Marmalade got a scratching post that she's afraid of. The dog plays with it more than she does.
Oh yeah, and there's 2 inches of snow on the ground with 1/2 an inch of ice underneath. Mom says I may get stuck up here tonight. That'll be absolutely wonderful, lemme tell you. I would want nothing more than to be here again tonight . Actually I wouldn't mind it, except for my boss being a dick this week and having to put up with his wrath should I not be in int he morning. (I'm the only one who can write this proposal he wants done in 2 days.)
Hope everyone's holiday's are just as amazing and wonderful! And I hope you get lots of toys and goodies. I know I did and I'm quite happy.
