All I can really say about this year's christmas gathering was it was a different feeling than last years. I felt like I belonged, I felt like everyone was having a great time, and it really did feel like family. From everyone sitting around the table sharing good food and drink, to the whipped cream fight Kayla and I got into (and me smearing some on Daddy's glasses by accident.. I was really going for his nose!), and the wonderful present exchange, which I was totally not expecting! From Mommy and Daddy I got a new photography porfolio, along with a $30 gift certificate to Penn Camera. I know that'll come in most handy now with the new camera. From Kayla I got "sex on the beach" scented soaps, and The Making of Master and Commander book. I didn't even know until earlier in the day that it exsisted! And Heath suprised me the most by giving me the The Master Printer's Workbook, a Darkroom techniques book written by one of the foremost black and white printers in England. As soon as I had found out about this book, and read an interview with the author, I wanted it. I'm totally excited about it... I read some of it today, but I really want to get into it deep.

I feel really blessed to have such a great family. Last year I don't know if I was capable of realizing that, but they are totally special. And I hope they had as great a night s I did. And it'll be even better than last year.
