House broken into, film at 11
Feb. 4th, 2007 08:09 pmGot home from a great brunch with friends for a friend's birthday, to find my apartment had been broken into.
They left the back door open- Marmalade got out and was coldish when I found her, but not terribly frozen. She was happy to be picked up. Fireball was in the living room on the cat tree, mewling.
A screen had been pulled out of one of my windows, and the water bottle I keep by the bed in the bedroom to squirt the cats had been moved out onto the porch (2 rooms away).
My mattress had been pushed aside, and a box had been moved. A curtain had been moved in my bathroom.
Some boxes on my vanity had been opened and shut and such. 2 jesus candles had been knocked over by the door. Some food things in my pantry had been moved.
The police have been called, fingerprinting and pictures have been done, nothing was taken. I repeat Nothing Was TAken. Which makes no sense to me. Or to the police for that matter. I had 2 laptops sitting in the living room, and all my other electronics,and instead they chose to go through my bedroom. No sense! It makes no sense.
My friends B and M are coming over tonight to hang for a little while.
I'm scared. I don't understand why someone would do this. And why they didn't take anything.
